These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and Jacob Self (“we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the ComposedAI mobile application and related services (together, the “Services”). By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
We may update these Terms from time to time as described in Section 15. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
ComposedAI is an iOS communication skills training app. It offers short lessons, AI conversation roleplays, voice and video practice exercises, and automated feedback designed to help you speak with more confidence.
Eligibility. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are under 18, you may use the Services only with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
Not professional advice. The Services provide practice tools and automated coaching for general self-improvement purposes only. They are not, and are not a substitute for, professional advice of any kind, including medical, mental health, speech-language pathology, legal, or career counseling. If you have concerns about anxiety, speech, or health, consult a qualified professional.
You may use parts of the Services without an account. If you create an account (for example with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In), you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
You can delete your account at any time in the app via Profile, then Settings, then Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your server-side account data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Subscription required. Access to the Services requires a paid subscription, purchased through Apple’s App Store as an in-app purchase.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (weekly, monthly, or yearly, depending on your plan) at the then-current price, until you cancel. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Free trials. Some plans include a free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins automatically and your Apple ID account is charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Promotional pricing. We may offer promotional or discounted pricing (for example a limited-time discounted yearly plan). Promotional prices apply to the billing periods stated in the offer, and renewals continue at the price stated at the time of purchase unless we notify you of a change.
Canceling. You can cancel anytime through your device’s Settings, then your Apple ID, then Subscriptions, or through the App Store app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support. We do not have the ability to issue App Store refunds directly.
Price changes. If subscription prices change for existing subscribers, you will be notified as required by Apple’s policies and applicable law, and where required you will have the opportunity to accept the new price or cancel before it applies.
