This Privacy Policy describes how Jacob Self (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use The Standard mobile application (the “App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
If we form a company in the future (e.g., an LLC), this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect the new operating entity and you will be notified through the App.
At a glance
- The Standard is a personal habit tracker. We collect only the data needed to run the App, sync your progress, and keep it stable.
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not use advertising networks, third-party ad SDKs, or cross-app tracking. The App does not display App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompts because it does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- You can use the App without an account. When you create one, all you provide is an email address and a password.
- You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from inside the App at any time (Profile → Settings → Delete Account).

1. Information We Collect
We collect the categories of information described below. These map one-to-one to the disclosures we make in Apple’s App Store Privacy (“Nutrition Label”) questionnaire.
1.1 Information you provide directly
- Account credentials. Your email address and a password when you create an account or upgrade an anonymous account. Authentication is handled by our identity provider, Supabase. Passwords are hashed by Supabase and are never visible to us in plaintext.
- Profile information. Your display name, your “why” (a short personal statement of why you are using the App), and your onboarding answers.
- Habit and progress data. The tasks (habits) you create, their category, icon, color, and order; the daily check-ins you submit; the per-task statuses you record each day (completed, skipped, or failed); your streaks; your overall OVR score; and any milestones you unlock.
- Reminder preferences. Your selected daily check-in reminder time and whether reminders are enabled.
